WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 10, 2010)
— LifeWave, a cutting edge new patch technology company, donated $5,000 to the Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red Cross to support local disaster relief and lifesaving programs. The altruistic company was first-inspired to give to the local Red Cross following the organization’s Hurricane Katrina disaster relief efforts in 2005. Five years later, LifeWave has continued supporting the Red Cross by joining on as a 2009 Storm Partner and providing bulk in-kind donations to support medical efforts in Haiti .

Thomas Burke, LifeWave Advisory Board Member said, “Although major disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes and wildfires capture national media headlines, the day-to-day work of the Red Cross often takes place in local communities,” emphasizing the importance of supporting the neighborhood Red Cross. In the past year, the Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter responded to 204 local house fires, assisted 556 military members and their families and trained 124,584 people in lifesaving skills. Already in 2010, the Red Cross has provided shelter from the cold to 1,647 people. The Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red Cross responds to an average of one local disaster every 30 hours, 365 days a year.

“The Red Cross wants to thank LifeWave for continuing to support us,” said Larry Casey, CEO of the local chapter of the American Red Cross. “We are proud to be the place where everyday people can do extraordinary things, and we hope our entire community will continue to support us so that we can continue to offer lifesaving services everyday.”

Burke added, “LifeWave is making a difference in the lives of countless others with its life-changing patches, just as the Red Cross does with its humanitarian aid every day.” LifeWave manufactures and distributes alternative, natural, safe and effective drug-free patches that target rapid relief of aches and pains of the joints, back and knees; improve sleep; increase energy; strengthen the immune system; and also has dramatic benefits in anti-aging and aids in weight loss.
